Arise my body, my small body, we have striven Enough, and He is merciful; we are forgiven. Arise small body,
puppet-like and pale, and go, White as the bed-clothes into bed, and cold as
snow, Undress with small, cold fingers and put out the light, And be alone, hush'd mortal, in the sacred night,
-A meadow whipt flat with the rain, a cup Emptied and clean, a garment washed and folded up, Faded in colour,
thinned almost to raggedness By dirt and by the washing of that
dirtiness. Be not too quickly warm again. Lie cold; consent To weariness' and pardon's watery element. Drink up the bitter water, breathe the chilly death; Soon enough comes the riot of our blood and breath.
My Writing
Prayer Lord, Father in Heaven,
bring me peace tonight
Bless me with Your grace, dear God;
redeem me in Your sight
Fill my heart with shame
for every wrong I've done
And fill my mouth with praise
that with Your touch, it's gone
Each time I trip and fall, my Lord,
You bend and pick me up
And each time I hunger and I thirst,
You feed and fill my cup
There is no greater love, I know,
than what You have for me
...that this poor sinner should
sit next to You for all Eternity...
So shape me for Thy bounty,
Lord, and make me fit to love
And I shall wait most eagerly
for when we meet above
Thank you so much for the welcome and the encouragement. I'm really excited to get back into writing again. I've been looking at some of the posts on
MV, and I must say, I am blown away. There is some awesome talent. :) Original comment »
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Aren't we lucky to have such a wonderful, supportive group of friends at MV? I'm always grateful for my MV friends who
are always there for me. Even though the relationship is virtual it still feels close and warm in my heart. Have a great Christmas back in California and all
the best to you in 2009!
I'd give it **** of *****. one of Hopkins better works.
Winger is excellent.
If you have to, buy it. if not, well worth the rental.

I am absolutely a for-real Lewis fan, mike. I have heard of Shadowlands, too. =) I am quite sad I have never had the opportunity to see it, though. I have seen
other, less mainstream movies about Lewis' life, and they have been excellent! I love learning everything I can about him. He is my hero! =) Thanks for the
comment, Sadie
I have been at Ezboard for almost SIX years now. (Woot!!) I started out at The White Council (a Lord of the Rings message board) posting in SSIW when it was a
mere thread, and moved with other MVers to Mirabile Visu when the thread became too big to support itself anymore.
I am so glad that there is a place where I can go and talk to others who appreciate my work. Not everyone has that. When I think about other writers before me
and how lonely their lives were, I know how much I am blessed.
Charlotte Bronte, who wrote my favorite book Jane Eyre, had her family all die before her. Then when she was ready for a family of her own, she herself died
due to complications of pregnancy. I feel a great spirit and wisdom in her words that I can only hope to have.
